Angie,

No need to duck and run.  I can appreciate that maybe if the riders all
prefer a jacket, that a policy could be established that a jacket should be
that award.  Dean did not pick that item because of the cost, but because he
thought it would be a nice change.  It was interesting at the board meeting
when he showed what he had selected as the award, all the board members
"oohed and aahed," and then just as he was sitting down he mentioned that
the cost was less than the jacket.  Until that time I don't think the board
members looked at the award and thought the cost was any less than the
jacket.

The point I was making was that when negative comments are made even before
anyone has seen the award, it seems to me that the comments are made for the
purpose of stiring up the group, rather than an honest evaluation of the
award.
