Re: beet pulp
The rule of thumb suggested by Skip Hintz at Cornell (highly respected in
the field) is up to about 45-50% of the forage ration is okay. Example, if
a horse is normally eating 20 lbs of hay a day, then you can replace 8-10
pounds of that with beet pulp, dryweight.
Of course, work up to that amount slowly.
