Re: Conditioning for 100's
Colleen, I don't mean to discourage you, but before considering a 100,
shouldn't you solve the tying up problem first? It would seem to me that
tying up on a 50 is a pretty clear indication that something is seriously
wrong, and trying to go twice that distance under the same conditions, no
matter how slow, is asking for some truly serious metabolic problems and
potential heartbreak. Don't underestimate what your horse is trying to tell
you. Maybe better to work on management so the horse is skipping his way
through 50s, and think about 100s somewhere down the road.
