RE: FEI Rides
Barbara, so who is doing the paperwork and paying the extra fees? Is
this true for all the other potential FEI rides also? Are you separating
the ridecamp into FEI and non-FEI?

Subject: RC: FEI Rides
The main reason for FEI sanctioning is so our riders can qualify to ride
in
international events, i.e. world and Pan Am championships. FEI won't
let USA
riders compete any more unless they qualify in FEI events. We're going
to
FEI sanction on Swanton Pacific next year. It probably won't affect us
as
RMs, since someone else is going to pay the extra fees and do the extra
paper
work. Any riders who are riding for AERC credit without trying to
qualify,
won't be affected at all.
The Canadians are at a terrible disadvantage right now because of the
monetary exchange rate between our two countries. Our $65 membership
fee is
cost them over $100 Canadian, if I remember correctly. That's why there
is a
consideration of establishing their own organization.
