Re: Rats eating anything.
>After awhile I realized the 22 was not the answer. <
Anyone else wondering how long is "awhile"? <grin>
>Anyway, the pellet gun is a good idea (less damage than a .22) but rat
poison is about the only thing that really works. I no longer have rats
crawling on my body when I remove the blanket covering the feed can. I'll
do just about anything for my horses but this was asking a little too much.>
I disagree (not about rats being too much, about guns being the only
answer!). I have 6 cats and 3 Jack Russels. When I first moved into my
place, we had a plague of rats (and I hadn't even brought the horses home
yet!) Every day, I'd come home from work and there were rat carcasses all
over the front lawn. It was Rat Carnage!
After a week of my dogs and cats demolishing the local rat population, we
didn't see another rodent.
Nothing like natural selection at work!
