rats on hooves
We were at the pet store the other day, and walked by a case with a mother rat with a litter of white fluffy babies, a litter of babies just getting their fur, and a litter of pink little embryonic looking things, all at the same time. There must have been 30 babies in that cage with one rat. My neighbor is currently waging battle with an explosion of gophers, and he puts these traps in the holes, and then gopher smoke bombs in the other holes and they run down the trails to get away from the smoke. Into the traps. He caught 30 gophers this month. I don't know if that would help with rats though. What about painting icthamol on the hooves? That is vile stuff, and we were able to use it on wounds without harm to equiine, plus it stays on a long time. Beth
