If you want to see different prices for identical products, I'll give you a
couple of examples. Hydrocortisone 1% ointment. You will find the same drug
marketed toward several different markets - hemarhoids, general first aid
and perhaps others. Take a look a the antifungals - the same product
marketed toward athelete's foot, feminine yeast infections, and perhaps
others. You will find products that are identical in product and size and
marketed by the same companies (although sometimes with different brand
names associated with the market) with different prices.

Pfizer isn't dumb, but consumers all too many consumers don't take the time
to carefully read labels other than looking at a brand name. And
professionals sometimes aren't any better. Go looking for Benadryl (as
recommended by my vet) and see how many different products carry that brand.
