OF COURSE you can eliminate a lot of horses that MOST LIKELY will not win
the Kentucky Derby -- only one is allowed to be the winner, so that leaves
a lot that you can probably safely eliminate. As for basing the
elimination on pedigree -- I doubt it. You never know. . .
