Reno forever?

It seems to me that the purpose of that treasury is to serve the interests
of AERC's members. IMO, holding the convention in Reno each year does not
constitute good member service.
I have belonged to a number of national and regional organizations over the
years, and none of them had the temerity to hold annual conventions in the
same area each year. They were not so short-sighted. Or, seemingly, so
comtemptuous of significant portions of their membership.
By moving the convention at least occasionally, we could reach out to as
many members as possible -- members who we hope will re-new, and perhaps
bring their non-member friends and family along. Instead, we do what is
easiest for those organizing the convention. What a missed opportunity!
Are we the American Endurance Ride Conference or the Western America
Endurance Ride Conference?
