Re: RC: Re: breeder ethics

Love it, Whitney!!!!!
Another "theory": because tall Arabs are relatively RARE, they tend to
go for more money. Until recently, most endurance riders (they tell me)
have been shopping in the $2500-$3500 range for a full grown Arabian,
preferably with wonderful bloodlines and perfect conformation and
athletic ability. Could it be that those Arabs with all that and HEIGHT
on top of that were FOR SURE not in that price range, hence, as Heidi
states, she has not seen too many with quality. Perhaps as more
endurance riders are willing or able to pay more for their mounts, you
will see more and more of these BIG GUYS on the endurance trail. Right
now most of them seem to be heading for the sporthorse class show buyers
where they bring a decent price---that is exactly where mine are going
until I can get more for my horses than it costs to feed them until
grown. Just sheer economics, Heidi.
Oh that I were infinitely wealthy and could afford to continue to take
losses just so my beautiful and athletic babies could go to terrific
endurance homes where they are really well-cared for and ride the great
trails! That would be my ideal scene!

I've learned that life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer it
gets to the end, the faster it goes. Smell the roses!
