No offense, but I think the bottom line is that no one really cares what 
"holds water" in some people's eyes.  And scoring a 50+ on a dressage test 
(which I know nothing about) and competing 50's isn't only what makes you 
successful, accomplishing your individual goals with an individual horse is 
what makes you successful.
...okay, so I do have an opinion
