Re: RC: Land of the Neversweats
This ride is about 40 miles east of Susanville Ca. It depends on the year, but
last year it was very cold at night and in the morning. I think it got down
to 29F. During the day it was beautiful. This is a desert ride with a few hills
and some rocky areas and some sand. I came in 6th last year and ride time was
about 5 hours. The people that put it on were great, the food was great, they
also gave out good awards. I highly recommend this ride.
The night before the ride we were in our gooseneck trailer trying to sleep
( no insulation at the time) and we could see our breathe. My wife Shauna had
a cold and was feeling not so good. We wussed out and drove 35 miles to town
and got a room. It was the smartest thing we did that night. Our friend Bob
stayed and watched the horses.
But overall it was a really fun ride.

finish time, typical weather conditions. We are thinking of doing this ride,
but are a bit worried about it being really freezing! Thank you
