Unfortunate that we will lose Donna's column.  I wonder if it's actually 
the BoD or if it's AERC's National Office that makes decisions about EN?  I 
have noticed a "tightening of the belt" kind of attitude with AERC right 
now, at least with my own proposals for promotional work for AERC, and now 
this with Donna.  Exchanging ad space for articles is pretty common with 
other horse publications - when I was writing for various magazines that's 
most often how they offered to "pay" me.  Perhaps since the EN is not a 
by-subscription publication it doesn't work out for mutual benefit to 
exchange ads for articles?

Would anyone on our BoD care to comment on what's going on?  Thanks!
