There is a One list, or E-group that helps match people with horses that are in need of transportation. The group description is as follows:

This list is intended for helping people purchasing horses from distances to arrange for transportation, it is for people traveling one way with empty spaces in trailers, that may be willing to haul other horses to cut expenses. Transporters posts, private parties with room, and people looking to get a horse from point a to point b are welcome to post here.

I have not used this list myself, but have looked at the messages. Maybe it will help someone with their transportation issues.
