This summer we vacationed a few days with the horses at a camp site close to Mt. Hood in Oregon. The requirement was to clean up after the horses daily. They had beautiful camp sites and corrals and all we had to do was scoop the manure into plastic bags and put in the area provided. They picked it up daily. It is a small price or effort to pay to be able to use these great areas.
I used Easy Boots on our Oregon winter trails at one time and really ran into a problem. Muddy spot on the road in the back country was deceiving. You'd think if it was on a dirt road that you could drive through it so you should be able to ride through it. Wrong. My horse was up to his knees and stuck and it was a very scary little while until he could actually pull himself - and me - out of it. The Easy Boots were on as tight as they could be and they stayed at the bottom of that mud bog. Never saw them again. I don't ride through mud like that anymore and I don't use Easy Boots anymore. Different strokes I guess but it was not an obvious bog. Kind of like quick sand only it was quick mud!
