Equi PAK is used under pads (and sometimes without) to fill in the sole area and protect it while Equi BUILD can actually be used to build up a heel, repair cracks, etc. Nelson has used this product on horses with crappy hooves and no heel with good results. It offers good support and we feel has actually helped stimulate heel growth by protecting and supporting it! He has used this in conjunction with shoes. It is also sometimes used to "glue" shoes on a horse...he has also done this with fair success. Not an easy process though and not one of my favorite "assistant" jobs!
