In the Appaloosa horse club there is also a saddle log program- and an award
called the Chief Joseph award. This award is given when you accumulate 1000
saddle hours, 10 endurance rides and 10 competitive rides. So far there are
several people that have 1 or 2 Cheif Joseph awards, and in 1998 I received
my 3rd one and will be receiving my 4th one this year. Yes that is 4000
saddle log hours and 40 endurance rides and 40 competitive rides. Alot of
time spent in the saddle and on the trail but am very proud!
