New AERC award listed - the War Mare

Those readers who look carefully at the points awards on-line will see a new 
entry - the War Mare award.

The office provides the following note of explanation for those who were
not aware of the award.

Before the award started appearing there was a small article advising people
the award would begin running.  Hopefully those in the thick of things are
well informed.

The award tabulation began December 1, 1999, the first day of the 2000
Season.  Just took a bit of time to get things going.

It is patterned after the Jim Jones Stallion Award, however, recognizes
points rather than miles.  The mares are ridden by one rider for the entire
season.  The award is listed with placings of 1-10 in the magazine, however,
only first place is given an award.  The remaining 9 will receive
certificates only.
