To Clip or Not to Clip....?

Fly and I will be doing our last race of the season at Spook Run next
weekend.

On our last training ride I noticed quit a bit of winter fur present and
was wondering if I should clip him forward of the saddle so he can cool
down easier at the ride if it's warm? I was going to do it a couple days
before the race.

What is the opinion of you veteran racers out there?
