FWIW I had a horse and do have a daughter that were/are very allergic to
Betadine.
Both developed sores like you described when I was using it on them.  My
daughter's betadine came from the drug store, standard 10% iodine dosage.
Can't remember where I got the horse's betadine from, probably a feed store.
