rides too close

The problems concerning disputes among ride managers are commonplace no 
matter what region.  As sanctioning director of the Midwest region I concur 
with all of Barbara McCrary's statements except this one:

     For the 2000 season we have scheduled  53 rides in 29 weekends, and keep 
in mind that the   Midwest doesn't have the great expanses of open country.  
It's impossible to keep that many RMs happy and the sanctioning director 
needs very thick skin.
