Had a good endurance ride
Don,
>>Well, the Daniel Boone Distance Riders put on the Kentucky Stampede last
>weekend a multi-day 25 and 50 mile ride. Low and behold there is fellow in
>his 20's by the name of Conrad (don't have a last name) from South Africa
>there. Not riding but as a farrier apprentice. Came with Bob and Lois
>MacAfee from Indiana. Now I bet I know what your accent is like.>
>Yikes! Not if he was Afrikaans, you don't (gutteral g's, rolling his r's,
saying "free" instead of "three"?)
>Had a good showing considering the Baltimore was the same weekend. The
rider from farthest away was from Colorado. Came to check out the site 2001
AERC National Ride. She wore a full body suit not just riding tights. I
know I'm married but I not blind. She was all there. I was the in-timer at
the vet check>
Had the vet taken your heart rate at the time, you'd probably have been
pulled!
>>Hope you can blow off some of that steam after you received those insults
in court, but I know you can dish it out too. >>
Oh, don't worry, I put him in his place. He gives a very good impression of
a landed fish. I can be terribly cutting when I'm peeved, and I'm lethal as
I get kind of icy-cold angry and manage to be completely coherent, and sound
terribly posh, whilst dishing out the vilest, most eloquently vitriolic
statements possible. Ah, well, my client was happy.
>Hope your Spring is going better now, we are getting deeper into fall temp
into the 50's for highs this weekend.>
We had our first Summer storm yesterday. Bloody marvellous. Pitch black at
3:30 in the afternoon, thunder rolling around like God had just woken up
with a huge hang-over, lightning flashing all over the place, and rain drops
the size of soup plates. Wonderful.
Glad you had a good ride, Don, speak to you soon,
Tracey
