It is pretty common at SE rides to get your ride card back. In fact at most
rides they don't even take them at the end. The timer has all the info and
simply notes you passed the completion exam by your completion time and you keep
your card.
What I find interesting is after awhile you can correlate how different vets
look at the same thing parameter, e.g. gut sounds. One man's A is another man's
B.
