The 10 minute penalty at the Old Dominion was still in effect last
year!!!! I ran the first vet check for the 100 at Fitchetts. All
station managers were instructed in that rule and in turn we instructed
the P&R teams. We're fortunate that we really didn't have to use it.
With the lowered pulse parameters, everyone was taking it easy & coming
in with good rates.
You did a great job with Irene... You didn't have to worry about it.
BTW - for those that don't know Jerry's young son, he was a <WONDERFUL>
help setting up that vet check - a very big, busy one. I was just
afraid that they'd think that Amy & I had kidnapped him we were gone so
long. He's a great kid!
I'd forgotten how far the first check (for the 100) was from base camp.
I was used to riding there, not driving!
