The only thing in there that could go bad is whatever they're using as sugar, and there's so much salt to pickle it, I doubt any pathogen could get a foothold before getting shriveled up like a prune.  If it's not discolored, it's more than likely fine to use.  JMO

Just dug in to my PNW, which I haven't needed to use in almost 4 months. Must not have closed it tight enough because the top layer was damp throughout.  Do I need to toss it, or can I mix it up and it'll be okay? Help! Thanks, Randi and Falconfyre in Brooksville, Florida
