AWESOME RIDE
april battles arabnracer@aol.com
Hey everrybody!
For all of you that couldn't make it just wanted to pass along what an awesome ride Gold Country was. Almost canceled for rain the weather was cool and crisp starting at about 1500 ft and going up to 4,000 ft, no dust-great footing-a bit of rock.
Well vetted-no waiting in lines-awesome volunteers that made bran mashes at each check-carrots and apples were there for horses-water and gatorade and snacks for riders-could actually go relax or take care of personal needs while someone watched your horse-lots of hay-heard Greg at echo valley feed had something to do with this donation of feeds at vet checks.
Absolutely beautiful scenery-lotsa fun windy twisty trails-challenging-and totaly breathtaking!
Heard it was going to be in july next year 2 weeks before tevis-to avoid chances of rain-cooler at that elevation so a nice ride when it's hot!!!!!
A deffinate must to go to-very well marked-no one got lost or off trail!!!!!!
