hip surgery
I am 70, had both hips done 5 years ago. Told the Dr I expected to ride
following surgery, and he said I won't tell you you can't. (He is used to
working on hard headed country folks) He did use the most "athletic"
appliance available.
Surgery was late summer and fall, started riding in the spring. Still doing
50 mile rides. (Going to the Oregon 100 this week, doing 50 miles)
If Dr can't deal with being active, get another Dr. I know many folks
with one or both artificial hips that ride lots, and work hard.
Find a good therapist to work with after surgery, and get on with your
life, doing what you love.
