My close friend Sue Larson had hip replacement about 12 years ago not only 
did she continue to compeat..  but she has never been  out of the top 5 that 
I know of... she doesn't compeat much any more... I don't think it has 
anything to do with her hip cause she still rides daily and she rides hard.  
tell your friend to keep on keepin on!
