Let's put our heads together and come up with some positive solutions.

  First of all I am mainly an observer here and have never been close to an internatial ride.  However I have been following this level of competion with interest for years.  One big problem I see with incohesiveness of the "team" lays with the way the rides are crewed.  "My crew", I hear this alot.  When it comes right to race day the rider is just focusing on the horse and doing the "riding" right?  And, the crew is focusing on that horse.  Now why can't the crew be the basis of the "team" (besides the "official" groom for the horse),  and the crew be hand picked by the riders, Chef, vets to crew for all the horses in the race on that team.  That would bring the team together in a more cohesive way.  It would improve communicaton, strategy and team playing, keeping the riders individualism intact. Just a thought. PattyS
