Re: A Night Vision Question
My horses have all had apparently excellent night vision. I just let them
go and they have always taken me safely through the dark tricky stretches.
20 years ago I convinced a guy who said his horse couldn't see in the dark
to ride out with me one late afternoon. I was certain that he was just
insecure. Ooops. It was a loooong ride home, his horse falling all over
himself. He not only forgave me but was very decent and sporting about the
whole awful episode. I still feel like a jerk for pulling the know-it-all
act but I have learned my lesson and feel that I am rehabilitated and fit to
ride in polite company now.
Humbled and shamed - but a better riding buddy,
