Mine don't blow unless they are really hyped and bug eyed about something, 
you know, with the a-rab tails all up over their backs. The snort thing seems 
to be a nervous noise, like when they get up close to something new. When I 
started taking an ex race horse out on the trail alone he snorted everytime 
he exhaled. When he relaxed he stopped snorting.
