Actually, my (people) chiro & my horse's both use Motion Palpation. They
palpate the joint as they move it through its range of motion, then adjust
it if it isn't moving smoothly and through the full range.
Last I knew, orthopedists are also trained to do chiropractic adjustments,
they just do other stuff too. Bone & joint medical specialists. Yeah, I
know my chiropractor isn't an MD, but frankly, when I first went to him
(creaky neck) I had a more complete neurological workup than I'd ever
gotten from my doctor, who said "I'd take Motrin. But if the chiropractor
helps you, go ahead."
