Lameness - was Feeding Beer
Having been through the lameness mill last year - don't forget the
equine chiropractor and massage therapist as well! Went to a class
on lameness diagnosis earlier this year by "lameness" vet. Was really
interesting that just by gait analysis he would not readily give
diagnosis. He would simply relay what he would do to do the workup
to eliminate possibilities. Someone also just had a chiropracter
tell them that the problem may not be structural, but be a muscle issue.
Goes on and on, doesn't it?

"We at least appreciate the nudge to owners to call the farrier
but most times it appears to be "passing the buck"... owners could save
themselves a lot of money, time and grief by just calling the farrier in
the first place."
