Another way to condition

Three of my nephews came over this weekend and wanted to ride so we saddled 
up our endurance horses... Soon there was nine kids wanting pony rides (all 
the kids in the neighborhood had to get in on it plus our own) so after hours 
each day of kids all taking turns showing each other how well and how long 
they could sit a trot and some cantering our horses got quite a work out. 
These horses who love their special treatment as endurance horses had such 
indignant looks of being lowered to mere pony-riding horses was rather 
humorous. But for better or worse I think we have 9 new potential endurance 
riders to look for in the future, they were all hooked...
