He is scared of it.... Hang it over his door and let him sniff and bite it. If her wants to pull it in, let him. Spend a lot of time walking around him with it . Just walk around don't put it on him. Then put it back on the door. Brush him and love on him, give treats. Then walk around him with the saddle again. Do this for several days weeks if that's what it takes. Don't restrain him while you do this, allow him to move away. He will get over the saddle just like when he first met people. Time and patience..... Arab-cross. The problem I am having is that when I try and put the saddle on him. He freaks! Goes sideways and backwards. Acts like he is scared of the saddle. Once the fight is over and the saddle is on, he seems to be fine. What causes this? Never had this problem with other horses. > > > =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= > Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net. > Information, Policy, Disclaimer: http://www.endurance.net/RideCamp > =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= > >
