And, to be completely fair and honest, the situations I used to illustrate the "guffaws" I got were in CTR situations where pulse is a HUGE part of the score. In all cases, my
mount would have easily passed endurance pulse parameters. I guess the relevance to endurance is the source of the guffaws (riders who usually ride endurance or LD). Hey, I'm
competitive, make no apologies for it and don't care how silly I look trying to get a pulse to come down to 44 or below.
Wonder how many riders in the east were pulling every trick out of their hat over this last weekend to get a good pulse — no matter what the ride format. Whew! Riding in 90+%
humidity is a true test of endurance!
