Hello all,
Just had the vet and shoer out..... Good news!
Rayna's hoof is still draining a little, but obviously healing. She is
still lame, but bearing full weight on the hoof, and stood for shoe pulling
and trimming too.
The shoer trimmed off some dead frog, opened things up a bit, and the vet
said " I give you a snowballs chance now" Woo hooo!
We are keeping her on trimeth/sulpha and the vet is ordering another oral
antibiotic to be used with it....I'll get it on Tuesday. I can't remember
what it's called, but it's used to treat Giardia.
So, continue to keep your fingers crossed for Rayna!
I'm off to shop before horse camping/riding this weekend......
