Questions on AERC Rules

I have two questions regarding AERC regulations.  The first is
are all members of the genus Equus allowed to compete?  That is,
are donkeys, zonkeys, and zorses (the latter are zebra hybrids)
allowed in AERC santioned rides and races?

The second question is can a "rider" and horse complete a ride/race
with the rider on foot the whole time?  That is, would a completion
be awarded if an entrant ran the whole ride/race leading his horse?
