I have seen horse shoes throw sparks here in the Eastern Washington desert, 
so that's not as farfetched as it sounds, although I'd like to know how they 
figured it out.  That story is almost as good as one about a fire in E. WA.  
It was caused by a grasshopper that landed on an electric fence, was fried, 
then fell to the ground to start the fire!  How DO they figure that out?  jeri
