FW: Help....eye problem
I attempted to send this directly to Donna but could not so I've sent it on
to ridecamp where she may read it. B.S.
You probably have already gotten replies to your question, but since I just
went thru this a few months ago with one of my horses I thought I'd send you
a reassuring note. This is apparently normal. My horse's eye took a couple
of months to return to normal dialation. My vet warned me it could take a
long time and to use a fly mask during the day for a while. Horse is now
perfectly normal.

Can anyone help alleviate my anxiety...2 weeks ago my horse was treated for
an eye injury...apparantly ran into something and an ulcer, swelling and
pain was obvious....vet cleaned, stained and we treated it like a corneal
abrasion...atropine oint twice daily, antibiotic oint 3-4 times and all went
well and a week later eye showed only a tiny speck where the ulcer was. No
meds now for 6 days and I just looked into the eye with a light and the
pupil is still dilated!! Is this a red alert situation or can it wait for a
return call or should I make an emergency call to her. I do have a call in
for a return call but I know she's on the road.
