I didn't want to get into this, but as one who majored in this and teaches
environmental science, you are both right... in a way.
But this needs to be said, and it is very important:
There is a vast difference between cutting down a 500 year old redwood, and
a giant sequoia, which, by the way, does NOT reproduce anymore..can NEVER
grow back..and a pine tree planted on a managed area.
I will not comment on the jobs, destruction, etc topic.
Now let's go out and enjoy the trails and ride!
