All too true. And kudos to the Idaho governor and congressional delegation,
who accompanied Clinton on his "tour" of the fires, and tried SO hard to
explain this very concept--and to the Montana governor who articulated this
so well on national news, as the fires raged behind him. Not since 1910 has
there been fires of such cataclysmic proportions--in the last several years,
the mismanagement and non-management of our public resources have left
unhealthy forests chock-full of fuel, just waiting for the right dry year and
the spark to start it off...
