Bob Good point there. It seems to me that the riders that want to participate in these rides may have an alterior motive in doing these rides. Maybe the horse ,being older and coming off of injury, is being tested to see if they are ready for a 50 or 100. Or maybe the rider is just not quite ready for 3 or 5 50 mile rides in a row. What ever the reason, I do believe that horses that would ride all of the days offered in a multiday ride should be 60 months. Those riders wishing to ride a multiday LD with a 48 month equine should be required to ride every other day and not on consecutive days. Just my .2cents worth. Pat and Razzel in Kansas
