As someone who has competed several stallions in the last 12 years, I have
to agree.  DOUBLE TIE.  Once on a multiday we put electric wire around their
part of the trailer...to keep other horses away.  You have to consider, not
just your horse getting loose, but someone elses.  Nancy & Monte Mitts make
a pretty sturdy corral system, if I was to go that direction, but be sure to
hot wire the top (and bottom?).

BTW, tying to a trailer did not work on a multiday..the horse does not get
to move around enough after so many days!  Luckily my friend had one of the
Mitt's corrals and I turned him loose in it on my day off.  He rolled 13
times in 5 minutes!
