North Carolina Rest Areas Off Limits to Horses

Hello, Coming back from the Biltmore this year we stopped and unloaded at the Rest Area right before Virginia on Route 77 and the Horses were happily eating grass and walking arround when the State Patrol informed us it was illegal to offload in a rest area.  We pleaded ignorance said our proper Yes Sirs and told him we'd never do it again.  It must be liability or they don't want poop in the Rest Areas.  tom sites
