I have had very good luck with zinc oxide.  I special order 3lb tubs from
the pharmacy at the groc store.  about $2-3 for that amount.  I also have
used the NOAD sunscreen, and they seem to do fine with that, but they don't
like the smell, and I don't think it works as well as the zinc oxide. (BTW,
that is what diaper rash ointment is)
