Q about qualifying for 2001 Nat'l Championship
I have a question about qualifying for next year's ride in KY. This is
off the the 2001 Nat'l Championship page at
http://home.att.net/~dbdistanceriders/page14.html - the emphasis is mine:
"In order to qualify for the 2001 National
Championship ride, horses and their riders must
**finish in the top 5 in any AERC sanctioned ride
throughout the United States, held up to one year
prior to the championship**. In addition, the horse
and rider combination must accumulate 200 miles
together in 50 and/or 100 mile AERC
competitions."
I thought you had to place in the top 10 in specified qualifying rides
for that ride year - that's the way it was this year, right? That's not
what this paragraph is indicating though.
Anyone know if this is indeed the way qualifying will be done for the
2001 ride?
