Re: Horse Jobs

I'll be honest, I didn't "plan" on where I am now. Always wanted to work
with my Morgans though and breed someday, besides ride.

I work a 12 hour swingshift that gives me two weekends a month off and a
week a month off for my break. I work for a major pharmeceutical company.
This allows me to work with my own horses, hit the rides, and supports them
as well. Besides that, I am president of the local riding club, Publicity
Chair and region 12 Director for the Pennsylvania Equine Council, and
president of a Purebred and Half-Morgan registry. Actually, the ONLY
Half-Morgan registry. These things have given me tons of experience, as well
as the chance to meet lots of great horse people. This, in turn, has allowed
me to develop what I really like doing prefessionally whch is desk top
publshing, web design, publicity, etc. Eventually, I hope to do that full
time, getting paid for it, and quit my company job.

As far as personal goals, my first foal is due in June, with my prefix. I am
one of the rare Morgan people actually shooting to breed Morgans for
CTR/Endurance, and this is the first foal of my own breeding to begin with.

It can be done, it just takes time. Focus on a living first, because if you
have the money, the rest comes easily!
