My daughter - close to Kansas City - is looking for a REALLY broke older
horse for her five-year-old daughter, Katy, to learn to ride on. Any
breed will do (darn, and I raise Arabians!) so long as it is quiet as can
be, won't shy, won't toss her off, and isn't crippled.
I will add that Katy's daddy died a year ago as a result a head injury
received when thrown (off his riding Longhorn steer) when the saddle girth
broke. This is a major step forward for my daughter, but means that this
horse has to be EXTRA quiet or they'll never ride anything again.
I imagine there are some older ex-endurance horses out there looking
for a new job, and goodness knows these guys have "been there, seen that".
If you know of a horse that might fit this job, please email my daughter
(Lori) directly at runningl@midusa.net Thanks!!!
