SBR would most likely be Styrene Butadiene Rubber- not a good choice for
winter use REAL Neoprene is made from Neoprene and is a good choice for
winter use. Hoses at gas stations were one of the early uses for neoprene
rubber (the compounds probably have changed now I'm not in the hose
business)
My ortho flex stuff stands the WI winters just fine.
